In a recent report, The Independent has claimed that Liverpool are in pole position to land Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho next summer. The 20-year-old has made a bright start to this campaign after netting one goal and providing two assists in three appearances for Lucien Favre’s side across all fronts. The London-born prospect had already established himself as one of the most productive wingers in Europe following a majestic season in the last term when he banged in 20 goals and secured 20 assists in 44 matches for Dortmund in various competitions.
Sancho enjoyed a rich vein of form as a right-sided winger at Signal Iduna Park as he averaged 1.6 shots, 2.2 key passes and 2.4 dribbles per game in the 2019-20 Bundesliga season. He was also one of the most accurate ball-distributors in Favre’s first-team as evident from his pass completion rate of 85.1% in the top tier of Germany (stats via whoscored).
