West Ham United will take on Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday night as they look to secure a positive result and secure progression into the next round of the EFL Cup. The Hammers have banged in nine goals in their past two matches as they secured wins over Hull City and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively. However, they will come up against a Toffees side that has emerged victorious in five consecutive games across various competitions. Hence, the East London outfit could find it challenging to earn a victory at Merseyside in midweek.
West Ham will lineup in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Sebastien Haller expected to lead the charge up top. Xande Silva could be available for a place on the bench as Michail Antonio gets rested following his heavy involvement last weekend.

Defence
Darren Randolph could come back in to play in between the sticks for the Hammers after shipping in one goal versus Hull City in the previous round. Fabian Balbuena might once again partner Aji Alese at the heart of the West Ham defence as they look to limit the chances that Everton create in the final third.
Harrison Ashby will get the nod to operate at right-back while Ben Johnson fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them can expect to be tested defensively, so they will have to produce a valiant display out on the wide areas if the Hammers are to come away with a positive result from Goodison Park.
Midfield
Robert Snodgrass and Jack Wilshere will be responsible for anchoring the midfield as they look to put in a hard-working performance at the centre of the park. The talented trio of Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini and Andriy Yarmolenko will hope to create some clear-cut chances while operating in and around the opposition penalty box.
Jarrod Bowen and Conor Coventry will make up the numbers on the West Ham bench as they provide cover for the midfield positions.
Attack
Sebastien Haller will lead the line for the Hammers up top. The French striker has scored three goals in his past two outings, so he will be brimming with confidence heading into this midweek clash at Merseyside. As mentioned earlier, Xande Silva will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he awaits his chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
