Arsene Wenger is ready to hack Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund If they fail to keep hold on Alexis Sachez.
Alexis Sanchez has been demanding a wage in excess of £190,000 and also wants a release clause to be included in his contract. The Chilean winger is currently on a £130,000 per week salary and has 18 months left on his current contract. The Gunners are very unwilling to match his demand and are looking for alternate options.
Reus is one of the most highly rated players in Europe but his career has been plagued by various injuries. He recently came back from an injury which also forced him to pull out from Euro 2016. Wenger has been a long admirer of the German and has also tried to sign him earlier. The 27 year old is valued at around £30m and that shouldn’t be a problem for the French gaffer who is ready to break the bank.
Arsenal have been in tremendous form this season and Reus’s addition will give them a added advantage over their rivals.
