Chelsea are reportedly trying to entice Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
Antonio Conte has been very impressed with the Turkish attacking midfielder and wants to bring him to The Stamford Bridge. The Italian gaffer is looking for some creativity in the middle of the pitch and is very willing to add reinforcements despite having Oscar at his disposal. The Brazilian has been involved only in a handful of games this season and has been linked with a host of clubs.
Calhanoglu is one of the brightest talents to have emerged from Turkey alongside Arda Turan. The 22-year-old was signed from Hamburg in 2014 and since then has been a regular in the starting lineup. The midfielder reportedly had a chat with his national coach Fatih Terim who gave a go ahead to the player.
The Turkish player is very well known for his free kicks and in his first three seasons as a professional footballer, he has scored 22 times from free kicks. A fee in the region of £17m would be enough to convince the Bundesliga giants as the London club presume.
