Manchester United are preparing a move for Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier. The Red Devils scouts were reportedly present to watch the defender when he represented his country Ivory Coast against France.
Jose Mourinho has preferred Antonio Valencia over Matteo Darmian but the attacking wing back had fractured his hand and will be out for a brief period.
Darmian who was signed by Louis Van Gaal hasn’t featured much till Valencia’s injury. But the Italian defender has been struggling and the Portuguese boss who is known for his harsh decisions could send the defender back to Italy with Inter Milan expressing their interest in the defender.
A number of clubs including Manchester City, Napoli and Atletico Madrid are reportedly watching Aurier.
Ivory Coast manager recently heaped praise on the fullback, “If you were to put him tomorrow in Arsenal’s, Chelsea’s or Manchester United’s team, he would start.
“An explosive, powerful and quick full-back is exceptional, there aren’t many on the market. He’s not at his best yet, either.”
