Samir Nasri has revealed that Pep Guardiola has barred his players from having sex after midnight. The Manchester City midfielder is currently plying his trade at Sevilla on loan from the English club. Nasri seemed to be surplus to Guardiola’s plan as the Spanish gaffer termed him as ‘overweight’ and the midfielder was forced to train alone. The 29-year-old French player later moved to the Spanish club on loan.
Nasri claimed that the sex ban was inflicted to get the best out of the footballers, “Relations must be before midnight. Even if you have a free day the following day.
“He told us this is how he managed to get the best out of [Lionel] Messi and [Robert] Lewandowski, and for them to avoid the maximum number of muscular injuries.”
Nasri moved to City from Arsenal in 2011 and went on to win two Premier League titles with them.
He further added, “With Guardiola, on the first day of training, you know how you should play, how to squeeze and also how to stand off the ball.”
