Wolverhampton Wanderers will travel to Villa Park to clash heads with Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon hoping to pick up a positive result on the road. Wolves will come into this game on the back of a 1-0 win over Bournemouth in midweek. However, the Villans are fighting for their top-flight lives, so they could prove to be a tough test for Wolves this weekend.
Nuno Espirito Santo will stick with his favoured 3-4-3 formation and might be inclined to name an unchanged team for this upcoming West Midlands derby. The visitors will be well-motivated heading into this contest as they could potentially leapfrog Manchester United if they can secure maximum points away from home on Saturday.
3-4-3 Wolves Predicted Lineup To Face Aston Villa
Defence
Rui Patricio will operate in goal for Wolves after securing back-to-back clean sheets against West Ham United and Bournemouth respectively. Nuno Espirito Santo will once again opt to play three centre-halves at the back with Romain Saiss, Conor Coady and Willy Boly looking to produce another solid defensive display collectively this weekend.
Max Kilman will be available on the bench as he provides some cover for the Wolves centre-halves.
Midfield
Ruben Neves will partner his countryman, Joao Moutinho at the centre of the park as they focus on creating some decent chances in the opposition half. Jonny Otto will operate as the left wing-back while Matt Doherty hopes to produce another tireless performance down the right flank.
Leander Dendoncker, Daniel Podence, Ruben Vinagre and Morgan Gibbs-White will all have to settle for a place on the Wolves bench but might get a chance to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Diogo Jota might keep his place on the right side for the Wolves attack while Adama Traore looks to build on his excellent display against the Cherries on the left. Raul Jimenez will yet again lead the charge for Wolves down the middle following his match-winning heroics on Wednesday.
Pedro Neto will have to be content with a place on the bench but might come on to make an impact if needed.
