Manchester United could have ended on the losing side against Tottenham Hotspur the other night. However, a late penalty saved them the blushes, which has kept Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s team in the race for the top four. Next up they face Sheffield United on Wednesday, and the manager would hope that this time, his team would be able to take home all three points. The gaffer would also be interested in making a few changes in the side ahead of the next game.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup Vs Sheffield United
Defence
David de Gea could be partially blamed for the goal that his side conceded, but the Spaniard would be a nailed-on starter for the next match. Luke Shaw would be slated to fit in at the left-back role, and nobody should complain regarding this. The English fullback did his job well against Spurs, and the fans would hope that he continues his good work. Aaron Wan-Bissaka should be in the starting eleven as the right-back as the manager would like to keep his fullbacks unchanged.
At the heart of the defence, the United boss may have to make a change as Lindelof could be replaced by Bailly. The Swede suffered a knock in the last match and had to be replaced. Our guess is Solskjær would not risk fielding him in this encounter. For the other position, Maguire would be the natural choice, though his performance level has to be improved immensely.
Midfield
In the last match, Man United played with a double pivot, thereby limiting their creative spark from the midfield. The introduction of Pogba changed the complexion of the game as the French superstar controlled the proceedings and linked up well with his teammates. He could be given the nod this time around from the start, and his partner at the centre of the pitch could be Fred.
Forward
Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty for his side in the last match, and the fans would be excited to see his combination with Pogba. Rashford and James should take up their position at the two flanks, although the former would be given the liberty to cut inside and take a shot at the goal. The tip of the attack could be led by Martial, although we believe that Greenwood would be asked to come off the bench and make an impact at the latter stages of the match.
