Borussia Dortmund are very much interested in taking back Henrikh Mkhitaryan on loan in January. The Armenian winger has fallen down the pecking order after his arrival at Old Trafford.
Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel has reportedly told owner Hans-Joachim Watzke to prepare a potential move for the attacking midfielder. Mkhitaryan joined the German side in 2013 from Shakhtar Donetsk and went on to become one of the most influential players at the Signal Iduna Park.
The 27-year-old playmaker was Dortmund’s best player last season with 23 goals and 32 assists. He had been out for a lengthy period for an injury in the International duty for his country. But despite being fit, Jose Mourinho hasn’t picked him in the squad for most of the season’s games. The player recently said in an interview that he will try his best to get back into the squad.
Dortmund are reportedly set to contact Manchester United for a loan deal in the upcoming transfer window as Thomas Tuchel is very keen to utilise the player’s potential.
