This summer, Leeds owner Massimo Cellino promised the fans their money back for the season tickets if the Whites fail to achieve a playoff spot by the end of the season. Considering the struggle Leeds had to go through in the last few seasons, the promise seemed too far-fetched but the scenario has totally changed now. The Yorkshire side did not have the best start to their season under new boss Garry Monk but they slowly picked up their game.
Leeds United have managed to get 22 out of their available 30 points in their last 10 Championship games and are now sixth in the table after 16 games. The Whites also had a good run in the League Cup and will take on Premier League leaders Liverpool in the quarter-finals.
Leeds do have a decent chance of fulfilling their long-standing aspiration of making their way back to the Premier League if they can keep up their good work.
