West Ham United are very keen to take Chelsea keeper Asmir Begovic in January. The Hammers are enduring a difficult season as they have failed to replicate their previous year’s performance.
Begovic has had limited number of appearances this season as Thibaut Courtois has been preferred ahead of him. The keeper has played more than 150 matches for Stoke City before securing his move to Chelsea.
The 29-year-old had played 17 matches last season in the Premier League due to an injury to Courtois. Apart from EFL Cup, where they were knocked out by The Hammers, the Bosnian keeper hasn’t featured in a single match in the Premier League this season.
Chelsea have been in fine form for the last past couple of matches and Antonio Conte is unlikely to make any changes to the starting lineup.
West Ham keeper Adrian has been struggling at the goal and coach Slaven Bilic is thinking for alternate options. However, Chelsea might not be interested in selling the keeper as an injury to Thibaut Courtois would halt their title chances.
