The next season of Barclays Premier League promises to be an absolute cracker with the teams strengthening their squads and a host of world class managers being appointed. With more money available for the teams due to the new mega television deal, the club’s haven’t shied away from spending money in a bid to retain their premiership status. It has resulted in a number of exciting talents coming to England or moving in between clubs. Let’s look at three of those players who could have the biggest impact on their team next season.
Victor Fischer
Middlesbrough sprung a nice little surprise when they managed to sign Victor Fischer from Ajax for a fee of £3.8m and made their intentions clear that the newly promoted club is not there to make up the numbers. Victor Fischer created quite a buzz when he made his senior debut and in his first season in top flight won the AFC Ajax Talent of the Year title. The Danish wunderkind is only 22 but has already made over a hundred appearances for Ajax (111) and scored 33 goals.
His dribbling ability coupled with his passing attribute is a deadly combination and with Karanka prioritizing on a counter attacking philosophy next season, the 2012 Danish Talent of the Year can prove to be the most important piece of his team’s attacking moves. Fischer is definitely a player to watch out for next season.
Lewis Cook
AFC Bournemouth pulled off one shrewd transfer by signing Leeds United midfielder Lewis Cook on a four year contract for a fee of £10m. Cook was regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the Championship last season and was the recipient of the Football League Young Player of the Year award. A graduate of the famed Leeds United academy, the 19 year old has proved himself as one of the rare bright spots for the club and won back to back young player of the year award at Elland Road.
The young player’s ability to lose his man is his strongest attribute and his ability to construct intricate moves with short passes can be vital for The Cherries next season especially with some pace available upfront. Playing in the top flight is the perfect opportunity for Cook and with his intelligence he can mature and develop next season under Eddie Howe and can have a considerable impact on the young squad at Dean Court.
N’Golo Kanté
N’Golo Kanté was the transfer of the Premier League last season and his performances last season has elevated him to a level where a club’s manager can pretty much be assured of a 7 out of 10 performance every time he gets on the pitch. The French international was snapped up by Chelsea for a fee of £32m and has made them into real contenders with this one signing.
Antonio Conte loves to have an energetic and all action midfielder who can out-think his opponents and Kante’s reading of the game with his insanely accurate ability of breaking down attacks with his improbable engine are just the perfect fit for the Italian manager’s model. Chelsea has also signed another very exciting talent in Michy Batshuayi but N’Golo Kanté is the signing who is going to take their midfield to the next level in 2016/17 and could be worth every penny.
