Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has suffered a ‘low grade muscle injury’ while he was training with Chile. Sanchez was seen limping out from the training.
Arsene Wenger would be in much concern as Arsenal have to face Manchester United and then Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.
Chile will face Columbia in their next match and Sanchez won’t be available for this match. However, he could return to the squad when Chile will host Uruguay on November 15 in a World Cup Qualifier. He’s will face a fitness test ahead of the Uruguay match.
Chilean FA issued a statement, “The medical corps of the Chilean national team informs the player Alexis Sanchez has a low-grade muscle injury. The athlete will stay in Santiago, under treatment and evaluation, before the meeting of Chile and Uruguay.”
Arsenal are also facing a dilemma regarding Hector Bellerin’s fitness. The 21-year old who recently signed a new contract reportedly didn’t take part in full training with Spain’s U-21 side. The defender was not in Arsenal’s Champions League squad against Ludogorets.
