Liverpool will entertain Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday afternoon hoping to bounce back from back to back losses versus Watford and Chelsea respectively. The Reds have not performed at a high level since the mid-season break so the home crowd will be desperate to see their players put on a memorable show when the Cherries come to town this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp will stick with his preferred 4-3-3 formation and make a whole host of changes to his first-team for this Premier League encounter at Merseyside.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs Bournemouth
Defence
Alisson Becker will return in goal for the Reds after being rested against the Blues in midweek. Joe Gomez will continue to feature alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool defence as they look to keep Callum Wilson in check on Saturday.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will return in the right-back position as he focusses on creating some clear-cut chances for the front players. Andrew Robertson might keep his place on the other side as the left-back. If Klopp decides to hand him a rest this weekend, then we can expect to see James Milner fill in as a makeshift left-back.
The European champions have conceded five goals in their past two matches which is a concern. Klopp will instruct his players to maintain a high defensive line so that they have a good chance of securing another clean sheet in front of their home supporters.
Midfield
Liverpool could line up with a midfield three of Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for this clash at Merseyside. Fabinho has struggled to hit top form since his return from injury, so this game will be his last opportunity to gain some confidence before the crucial second leg showdown versus Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League next week.
Oxlade-Chamberlain can benefit from a goal-scoring display versus the Cherries as he is also in need of a confidence-boost following his dismal showing against Watford last weekend. Jordan Henderson will once again miss out as he continues to recover from his injury. Naby Keita is a doubt for this game, so Adam Lallana and Curtis Jones should make up the numbers on the bench.
Attack
The Reds frontline will be comprised of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah stretching the pitch out on the flanks while Roberto Firmino leads the charge down the middle. Both Firmino and Salah were rested in midweek so they should be fresh heading into this contest against Eddie Howe’s men.
Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino will have to be content with a place on the bench, but they might get a chance to make an impact if Klopp calls upon their services.
