Wolverhampton Wanderers will face off against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday hoping to grind out a win on the road. The West Midlands outfit could leapfrog Spurs in the Premier League table if they can find a way to secure all three points this weekend.
Nuno Espirito Santo will stick with his favoured 3-4-3 formation and is expected to make a couple of changes to his first-team for this clash in the English capital.
3-4-3 Wolves Predicted Lineup Vs Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Rui Patricio will line up in goal for the West Midlands side after keeping four clean sheets in five games across all competitions. The back three of Willy Boly, Conor Coady and Romain Saïss have done well for Wolves in recent weeks. Hence we can expect them to feature in this game on Sunday.
However, the Wolves centre-backs will have to keep Lucas Moura in check if they want to secure another shutout this weekend. Nuno Espirito Santo will instruct his defenders to maintain a high line so that they can feed some accurate balls to the front players.
Midfield
Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves will resume their partnership at the centre of the park. The Portuguese duo will have to protect the backline when they get exposed on the counter. They will also focus on cooking up some decent chances in the opposition half.
Jonny Otto picked up a knock versus the Canaries which makes him a significant concern for this game away at North London. Ruben Vinagre could get the nod to feature as the left wing-back if Jonny fails to recover in time for this clash. Matt Doherty will look to cause a few headaches for the Spurs defenders down the right flank.
Leander Dendoncker and Daniel Podence will be available for selection on the Wolves bench but might come on to make an impact if required.
Attack
Diogo Jota and Adama Traore will be expected to stretch the pitch out on the wide areas while Raul Jimenez once again gets the opportunity to lead the line down the middle. Both Jota and Jimenez have been amongst the goals for Wolves of late so we can expect them to carry most of the attacking workload up top.
Pedro Neto will have to settle for a place on the bench, but he might get a chance to influence the game if Nuno Espirito Santo calls upon his services.
