Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin will soon sign a new contract, according to his agent. Bellerin was linked with a number of clubs including Barcelona and Manchester City. The La Masia product was wanted by The Catalans as they failed to replace Dani Alves who left for Juventus after spending a number of successful season with them.
The defender who joined Arsenal in 2011 has been one of the most consistent players of the Gunners in recent past.
His agent, Albert Botines, confirmed that a deal is more or less agreed, “We are speaking and are now a lot closer than we were two weeks ago. In a normal situation he will sign.
“Hector is very happy at Arsenal. This would be the fourth time he has signed a new contract at the club and it is clear he has made good progress.”
Despite being linked with Barcelona, Bellerin has rejected all the rumours and said that he is very at Arsenal, “If I wanted to play there I would have stayed there.
“I was very happy when Arsenal showed interest in me and I decided to come here. I’m not looking back, I’m just looking to help Arsenal,” Bellerin added.
