Liverpool will travel to the Molineux Stadium to face off against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday night hoping to stretch their lead even further at the top of the Premier League standings. The Reds will come into this clash on the back of a dominant 2-0 win over Manchester United last weekend.
Jurgen Klopp will go with the 4-3-3 formation yet again and is likely to name an unchanged side for this encounter away at the West Midlands.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs Wolves
Defence
Alisson Becker is a nailed-on starter in goal for the Reds after he picked up an assist and a clean sheet against the Red Devils last weekend. The centre-half pairing of Joe Gomez and Virgil Van Dijk will get the nod to dominate proceedings at the heart of the Liverpool backline. Both defenders have been in excellent form of late after keeping six clean sheets in a row in the Premier League.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will retain his place at right-back as he looks to whip in some inviting crosses into the Wolves penalty area. Andrew Robertson will try to do the same on the other side as the left-back.
The Reds have the meanest defence in the English top division after shipping in just 14 goals in 22 league matches so far.
Midfield
Klopp might choose to go with the same midfield three that started against Man United. So we can expect to see the hard-working trio of Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain continue to play together at the centre of the park. All three midfielders will focus on pressing the opposition high up the pitch so that they can win possession back quickly and release the front players on the break.
Fabinho, Adam Lallana and Curtis Jones could all be named on the Liverpool bench as they await their opportunity to shine for the first-team.
Attack
Klopp’s fabulous front three picks themselves. Sadio Mane will hope to be a constant menace for the opposition down the left flank while Mohamed Salah looks to build on his goal versus the Red Devils by putting in another productive display in midweek.
Roberto Firmino will once again get a chance to lead the charge down the middle. The Brazilian striker has been playing some of the best football of his Liverpool career over the past few weeks so we can expect him to be a potent threat going forward.
Both Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino will have to settle for a spot on the bench.
