Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United side picked up an impressive victory against reigning champions Manchester City, to do direct rivals Liverpool massive favour in terms of the title race. The Citizens are now a long way off the top of the Premier League and will have to put up an impeccable display for the rest of the season if they hope to catch Liverpool on the table. Marcus Rashford scored a penalty before Anthony Martial scored the winner for the Red Devils.

David De Gea – 6.5
The Spaniard wasn’t at his best on the night but did well to make multiple key stops throughout the tie. He was calm under pressure and distributed well.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 8
The youngster put up a brilliant display down the right flank, effectively pocketing English star Raheem Sterling in the process. The full-back could’ve done better with the Otamendi goal.
Victor Lindelof – 8
The centre-half put in a solid display at the centre of defence, as the United back-line eliminated any attacking threat City could produce. Made a vital block off Gabriel Jesus as well.
Harry Maguire – 7.5
For the first time since signing for United, the Englishman put up a worse display that his central-defensive partner. He dominated any aerial-balls that were played into the box.
Luke Shaw – 6.5
The young English star didn’t have his usual influence in an attacking sense but did well in maintaining possession at times. His positioning in the final third was superb as well.
Fred – 6.5
The Brazilian put in a similar display to the ones he’s been showcasing in recent weeks. Protected the back-line well over the course of the tie, and did well going forward as well.
Scott McTominay – 9
Manchester United’s best player on the night – the youngster showed why Ole has placed his trust in him with a truly dominant display from the heart of midfield.
Daniel James – 7.5
The youngster did an excellent job of keeping Angeliño busy throughout the tie but should’ve provided more for United in an attacking sense. Worked hard off the ball as well.
Jesse Lingard – 6.5
The English star showcased his usual fragility in the middle of the park tonight, although the Red Devils displayed their dominance in the middle of the park.
Marcus Rashford – 8
The youngster maintained his nerves well and made some excellent drives forward during the second half. Showed great composure in converting the penalty that was awarded to him as well.
Anthony Martial – 7.5
The attacker didn’t have too much of an influence in the attacking third, as have been his performances in recent weeks. Despite this, he put in a proper shift for his team.
