Tottenham Hotspur played hosts to Olympiacos at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight hoping to get a win in front of their home supporters. Spurs made a sloppy start to the encounter and conceded in the 6th minute when Youssef El Arabi scored with a stunning strike. Ruben Semedo doubled the Greek team’s advantage just 13 minutes later when he found the back of the net from close range. However, Spurs discovered a way back into the contest when Dele Alli scored just before half-time.
Fired up by Alli’s goal, Jose Mourinho’s players made a bright start to the second half and managed to equalise in the 50th minute via Harry Kane’s finish. Spurs completed the turnaround when Serge Aurier gave his team the lead in the 73rd minute before Harry Kane struck again just four minutes later to put the game to bed. The match ended with the North London giants emerging victorious with a 4-2 scoreline.
Let’s take a look at how each Tottenham player fared during the contest against Olympiacos.
GK: Paulo Gazzaniga – 6/10
The Spurs goalie couldn’t do much about either of Olympiakos’ two goals during the game. He distributed the ball well and managed to do enough to help his team win.
RB: Serge Aurier – 7.5/10
The Ivorian right-back had a quiet first half but put in an impressive display in the second. He managed to pop up with a goal in the 73rd minute that gave Tottenham the all-important lead for the first time in the game.
CB: Davinson Sánchez – 6/10
He made a tough start to the contest but recovered well to secure a shut-out in the second half.

The Belgian centre-back was partly at fault in the lead-up to Olympiacos’ second goal of the match. He also got cautioned in the second half.
LB: Danny Rose – 5/10
The English defender couldn’t clear the danger which led to the Greek outfit scoring the opening goal just six minutes into the game. However, he put in a slightly improved shift after the half-time break.

He kept things ticking in midfield but was often outnumbered by the opposition which made his life difficult.

CAM: Dele Alli – 7/10
The English playmaker is improving with each game, and he once again proved that tonight by netting a goal in the first-half injury time.
LM: Heung-Min Son – 5/10
The South Korean international got to see a lot of the ball but couldn’t create too many create cut chances for himself or others around him. He will be hoping for better nights wearing a Tottenham jersey.

The England international got to save his team’s blushes yet again as he found the back of the Olympiacos net twice to inspire a well-deserved come-from-behind victory for his side.

The Dane came on in the first half and has an assist to show for his efforts.
