According to a recent report by the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool could allow Rhian Brewster to go out on loan when the transfer window reopens in January. The Daily Express has also mentioned that Crystal Palace are currently leading the chase to acquire the English youngster’s services on loan this winter. However, the Eagles will face stiff competition from Aston Villa in pursuit of the Reds starlet (via the Daily Express).
Brewster’s Impressive Form At The Youth Ranks Of Both Club And Country
The 19-year-old has only managed to make two senior appearances for the Merseyside giants in the Carabao Cup this season. However, his contributions were enough for the European champions to set-up a quarter-final date versus Aston Villa in the League Cup next month.
Brewster has been a regular feature of the Liverpool U-23 side this season and has managed to put in a string of goal-scoring displays under Neil Critchley’s stewardship so far. The London-born striker has scored four goals and grabbed one assist in seven matches in the Premier League 2 this term.
He has also registered one goal in two appearances in the UEFA Youth League but has failed to earn a regular place in Klopp’s first-team.
The talented teenager has also represented England at various youth levels and has even managed to help his nation with the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India back in 2017.

Brewster boasts decent pace and has the killer instinct to find the back of the net in the final third. The former Chelsea striker has been a consistent goal-scorer for the Liverpool U-23’s but is yet to put in a memorable performance as part of Klopp’s first-team. Therefore, he can benefit from a loan move in January as he will be able to get more game time which will help in his overall development.
Should The Reds Allow Brewster To Go Out On Loan In January?
The England Under-21 star is in dire need of more first-team minutes if he wants to break into the world-class bracket someday. Klopp would be wise to let Brewster go out on loan as it seems unlikely that the English forward will be able to take Roberto Firmino’s place in the Reds starting XI.
