Leicester City will entertain Arsenal on Saturday evening hoping to continue their good form in the Premier League. The Foxes will come into this encounter on the back of an impressive 2-0 away win over Crystal Palace. With Liverpool and Manchester City set to clash heads on Sunday, the East Midlands side could move up into second place in the league standings if they emerge victorious against the North London giants and the Citizens are defeated at Anfield.
Brendan Rodgers will likely opt for a 4-1-4-1 formation and keep changes to a minimum for the visit of the Gunners at the King Power Stadium.
4-1-4-1 Leicester City Predicted Lineup To Face Arsenal
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel will feature in between the sticks for the East Midlands club once again after he managed to keep back to back clean sheets against Southampton and Crystal Palace respectively. The defensive pair of Çağlar Söyüncü and Jonny Evans will continue to feature at the centre of Rodgers’ backline. Both centre-backs have struck a solid partnership in the Premier League this season so they will be expected to keep things tight against Arsenal’s free-scoring striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Ricardo Pereira is a guaranteed starter on the right side of the backline while Ben Chilwell looks to create a few chances going forward as the left-back. The Foxes have currently got the best defensive record in the Premier League after allowing just eight goals in eleven matches this term.
Midfield
Wilfred Ndidi will anchor the midfield for Rodgers’ side as he puts his mind on breaking down the Gunners attacks. James Maddison and Youri Tielemans will both play in a more advanced position down the middle as they try to dictate the tempo of the game and cook up some decent chances for the front players.
Ayoze Perez is likely to start as the right-winger while Harvey Barnes operates on the left flank. All five of the Leicester midfielders have been enjoying a rich vein of form this season so they will look to keep up their high standards against Unai Emery’s men this weekend. Both Dennis Praet and Marc Albrighton are expected to be a part of the bench.
Attack
Jamie Vardy is currently playing some of the best football of his career while leading the charge for the Foxes so far. He will continue to feature as the lone targetman up top. The English marksman has scored ten goals in 11 league matches which is an incredible feat for a player of his age.
Kelechi Iheanacho will have to wait for his chance on the Leicester bench.
