Manchester United will travel to Carrow Road to clash heads with Norwich City on Sunday evening hoping to pick up maximum points on the road. The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last two matches so Ole Gunnar Solskaer would hope that this could be a start of something good for his team as they look to crawl their way back to the top half of the Premier League table in the coming weeks.
The Mancunian outfit will set-up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Marcus Rashford set to seal a return to the first-team after being rested in midweek.
4-3-3 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Norwich City
Defence
David De Gea will return to the Red Devils first-team and operate in between the sticks after being rested against Partizan in midweek. Sergio Romero will once again have to settle for a spot on the bench.
Axel Tuanzebe is a major doubt for this game so Solskjaer will have no option but to play Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire as his centre-backs. The defensive duo will hope to keep things stable at the back so that they can secure a clean sheet away at Carrow Road.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to feature in the right-back position. He will look to return to form following an underwhelming display versus Partizan in midweek. Ashley Young will play on the other side as the left-back. Both Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot are unlikely to recover in time to participate in this clash versus the Canaries this weekend.
Midfield
Scott McTominay and Fred will resume their partnership as the anchormen in midfield as they try to dictate play and create some decent openings going forward. Fred’s performances have improved a lot over the past couple of matches so he will hope to put in another solid display on the field this Sunday.
The attacking trio of Andreas Pereira, Juan Mata and Daniel James will be expected to interchange passes amongst each other and orchestrate some clear-cut goal-scoring opportunities in the final third.
All three playmakers have struggled to perform well for Man United over the past few matches so they would need to step up and put in a much-improved shift versus Norwich this weekend.
Nemanja Matic is a significant doubt and will probably not be risked in this game. However, James Garner is expected to be a part of the bench and might come on during the game if Solskjaer calls upon his services.
Attack
Marcus Rashford will lead the charge for the Mancunian giants upfront. He needs to score a few goals from open play so that he can get some confidence back ahead of a busy few months in the Premier League.
Both Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood will be available on the Man United bench and might get a chance to make an impact in the second half if required.
