Manchester United are set to extend the contract of attacker Jesse Lingard. The 23-year old has impressed manager Jose Mourinho with a number of notable performances in the ongoing season.
Lingard has been frequent in Jose Mourinho’s starting lineup in this season. The Manchester United academy product recently got his maiden England call-up scored the all-important winner against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup Final last season.
The new four year contract will see him earning £60,000 per week, almost double to his current wage.
He is also on the verge of renewing his sponsorship with kit manufacturer Adidas which also happens to be United’s sponsor and that will earn him a hefty amount.
Jose Mourinho earlier said, “One was a debutant, the other [Ander Herrera] was a call-up to the Spanish team, ‘It’s obviously important for them and it’s good for me and I think also the club feels proud of it.’
