According to a recent report by the Daily Express, Premier League legend and former Leicester City striker Emile Heskey has publicly stated that English midfielder James Maddison might reject all the clubs keen on his signature and instead, opt for a Leicester City stay. The veteran of the English game further went on to say that the Foxes staff and management are in no rush to cash in on the youngster, whose stock is only going to increase.
It has also been suggested that the Foxes are currently building a squad at the King Power Stadium and that player’s departure will be up to the discretion of Brendan Rodgers. The report further suggests that Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are all interested in the midfielder’s services.

Arguably the best player in the whole squad, Maddison’s contributions to the team have been nothing short of pivotal for the Foxes this term. Currently, in 3rd place with just 2 points separating them from 2nd place Manchester City, Rodgers will be quietly confident about his team’s chances of a European finish this season. The Englishman’s current contract at the King Power Stadium runs until the end of the 2022/23 season, and it doesn’t look like any of the teams interested in him, are going to be keen on waiting for that long.
