Real Madrid will travel to Turkey to take on Galatasaray at the Türk Telekom Stadium on Tuesday night hoping to pick up their first victory of this UEFA Champions League campaign. The La Liga giants are in dire need of a positive result in Europe after claiming just one point from their opening two group stage matches.
Zinedine Zidane will likely opt for a 4-3-3 formation and might make a few changes to his side for this European contest versus Fatih Terim’s team.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Galatasaray
Defence
Thibaut Courtois will continue to feature in goal for the Spanish giants despite failing to keep a clean sheet against RCD Mallorca on Saturday. Raphael Varane should return to Zidane’s starting XI to feature alongside Sergio Ramos at the heart of the Galacticos backline.
Álvaro Odriozola might keep his place at right-back despite receiving a red card versus Vicente Moreno’s men. Marcelo is expected to slot in on the other side in the left-back position. The Madrid defenders will need to be at their best if they are to keep a clean sheet inside a hostile place like the Türk Telekom Stadium.
Midfield
Zidane will probably go with a midfield three of Federico Valverde, Casemiro and Isco for this European encounter versus Galatasaray. The talented trio will be responsible for creating some decent goal-scoring opportunities in the opposition half. Luka Modric is unlikely to recover in time while Toni Kroos is a doubt for this game and will have to pass a late fitness to be available for selection.
The visitors would need to hold firm and battle for every loose ball so that they can establish their dominance at the centre of the park.
Attack
Los Blancos could lineup with the frontline of Brahim Diaz, Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez up top. All three front players will look to impress after Real Madrid put in a toothless display against Mallorca in the La Liga. Zidane might choose to introduce Eden Hazard from his bench if needed after the Belgian was granted a leave of absence due to the birth of his child recently.
Lucas Vasquez and Gareth Bale are significant concerns for this clash away in Turkey. Both Luka Jovic and Vinicius Junior have failed to impress with their performances against Mallorca and so they might find themselves on the bench in midweek.
