West Ham United will travel to Villa Park to clash heads with Aston Villa on Monday night hoping to continue their return to form in the Premier League. The Hammers come into this game after claiming back to back league wins against Watford and Norwich City respectively, so they will fancy their chances of securing a positive result against the Villans at the start of next week.
Manuel Pellegrini will likely opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and might keep the changes to a minimum for this clash away at the West Midlands.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup Vs Aston Villa
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will play in between the sticks for the Hammers after managing to keep a clean sheet against Norwich City in his last outing. Both Issa Diop and Angelo Ogbonna could lineup at the centre of the Pellegrini’s backline as they try to keep things stable at the back versus the Villans. Both of them will have their hands full as Aston Villa’s Wesley Moraes could cause them some problems on Monday night.
Ryan Fredericks will hope to influence the game positively from the right-back position while Arthur Masuaku assumes the duties of a left-back. Aaron Cresswell and Fabian Balbuena might have to settle for a place on the West Ham bench, but they could get a chance to come on during the game if required.
Midfield
Both Mark Noble and Declan Rice will operate as the anchormen at the heart of the Hammers midfield. The tireless duo will try to win back possession and create some openings for the front players to exploit. The midfield three of Andriy Yarmolenko, Manuel Lanzini and Felipe Anderson will be deployed ahead of them as part of the West Ham attack.
Yarmolenko scored in his last league start versus the Canaries, so he will be quietly confident about registering his name on the scoresheet at Villa Park next week.
Attack
Sebastien Haller will once again get a chance to impress as he spearheads Pellegrini’s attack up top. He found the back of the net against Norwich and is gradually settling into life in England. The French forward needs to score again on Monday night if he wants to establish himself as a prolific goal-getter in the Premier League this season.
