The North London derby is all about raw emotion, passion and fierce rivalry between two of England’s most prestigious football clubs. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur locked horns at Emirates this evening in order to get back to the winning ways after suffering defeats last weekend.
The game, as always, was scintillating and the Gunners, down by two goals, staged a sensational comeback to restore parity. Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane’s strikes were cancelled out by Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emeric Aubameyang as the electrifying encounter ended all square after ninety minutes of an exquisite contest.
Although the hosts dropped two points at home, Spurs must feel more dejected for giving away a two-goal cushion. Twitter was full of mixed responses from both the fanbases and here are some instances of how it affected the supporters after witnessing an end-to-end affair.
Bernd Leno’s error boosted the Lilywhites with an early lead and a Napoli fan was quick to take a dig at Arsenal.
Hey, Arsenal? Thanks for “stealing” Leno from us. ???

There were other hilarious reactions as well!

Remember last season when Arsenal fans tried to put Leno in the same conversation as Alisson? ?

Granit Xhaka was also in the receiving end for conceding a soft spot-kick that eventually allowed Kane to double the lead. Twitter did not spare him either!
Meet at the roundabout, we’re kidnapping Xhaka

Sell Xhaka at half time

One day we will study Granit Xhaka’s brain to see exactly what synapses fired to make a decision that catastrophically dumb

Spurs, however, bottled it in the end and could have even lost the tie if the late goal from Sokratis Papastathopoulos were not ruled out for offside. Mohamed Sissoko, on the other hand, had a glorious opportunity to sneak a goal past the Gunners in the closing minutes. But the Frenchman skied his effort from a close range and was lambasted by the fans despite working tirelessly throughout the game.
“Sissoko…this could go anywhere”
????Brutal from Martin Tyler…

When that ball got to Sissoko, I actually said “Thank God!”

Ref should really be booking Kane for time wasting when he set up the chance for Sissoko in the last minute #COYS
