Everton will entertain Watford at Goodison Park on Saturday hoping to pick up all three points in front of their home supporters. The Toffees will come into this match on the back of an underwhelming 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace last weekend. However, it won’t be easy to get a win against the Hornets after the Hertfordshire outfit suffered a 3-0 loss at home to Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.
Marco Silva is expected to stick with his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation and will be forced to make two changes to his side for this clash at Merseyside.
4-2-3-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Watford
Defence
Jordan Pickford will operate in goal for the Merseyside outfit after he managed to earn a clean sheet away at Crystal Palace last weekend. The defensive pair of Yerry Mina and Michael Keane will look to provide adequate cover for the English goalie at the heart of the Toffees backline.
Seamus Coleman should keep his place at right-back while Lucas Digne tries to put in a productive display on the other side in the left-back position. The Everton defence will need to keep things tight at the back if they are to ensure a positive result from their first home game of this Premier League season.
Midfield
Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Tom Davies will operate as the holding midfielders as they try to break up the Hornets attacks at the centre of the park. The brilliant trio of Bernard, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison will play just ahead of them as part of the Everton attack. They would be expected to create some decent opportunities and wreak havoc in the Watford half.
Morgan Schneiderlin is suspended from participating in this contest after he picked up a red card for a rash challenge against the Eagles last weekend. Andre Gomes is a slight doubt for this encounter and will be in a race against time to be fit for this match at Goodison Park.
Attack
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will spearhead Marco Silva’s attack up top. Moise Kean will have to settle for a spot on the Everton bench and might come on during the game if required.
