Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is not impressed with his defensive performance and set to do a major overhaul in the upcoming winter transfer window. AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger is one of his primary targets.
United conceded four goals against Chelsea and Mourinho got furious especially with Smalling, whose error led to Chelsea’s first goal. The Blues went on to pile more misery as they scored three goals past a hapless United defence.
According to reports Mourinho is very adamant to tighten up his defence and Daley Blind and Chris Smalling could get the sack to make way for a new defender.
Rudiger has been a mainstay in AS Roma defence and Chelsea are also interested in him with Conte wanting some top notch backline player as well. Roma won’t want to let go one of their prized assets but a bid in the region of £35m should be enough to lure the defender to England.
