Aston Villa are having a busy summer following their return to the Premier League defeating Derby County in the playoff final. They have already spent more than £100m on ten new signings and are closing in on Club Brugge’s Marvellous Nakamba to strengthen their midfield furthermore.

“I’m just going to see what happens, never say never. I don’t really know what’s going on. I’d love to play for Villa. I feel like I’ve been doing well. The vibe around the place is really good at the moment.”

Early Career And The Success At Carlisle
The 21-year-old progressed through the youth ranks of Villa and featured for their U23’s week in week out. He made eight senior appearances during the 2017-18 season but was left frustrated due to the lack of enough first-team minutes. The arrival of Dean Smith did not alter the scenario much. However, a loan move to Carlisle United towards the closure of the winter window worked out perfectly for him in terms of game-time and regular football.
O’Hare featured 16 times for the League Two outfit and scored as well as assisted thrice banking on some stellar performances. He has exhibited his versatility having featured down the wide, as a ‘number 10’ and also in a central midfield role. His impact earned the gaffer’s attention as well who has fielded him in every one of Villa’s pre-season friendlies so far ahead of the upcoming term.
Does He Have A Future At Villa?
Smith has ample options in midfield as well as attack, and the homegrown prodigy would find himself further down the pecking order following the arrival of the summer signings. The gaffer might prefer him in Cup contests if he is retained beyond the deadline; however, another loan move seems to be the most likely resolution at this point of time for all parties involved.
