According to Fanatik, Everton are among the clubs interested in the services of Stoke City midfielder Badou Ndiaye. The Senegalese international has emerged as a target for several clubs in Europe following an impressive season at Galatasaray and Stoke have already received two officials bids for the midfielder.
It is believed that Ndiaye wants to continue playing in Europe next season and a move away from Bet365 stadium could be on the horizon.
Ndiaye’s remarkable spell at Galatasaray
Ndiaye initially joined Stoke City in a €16 million move from Galatasaray at the start of last year. But, following their relegation to the Championship, he returned to the Turkish outfit in a season-long loan deal last summer. And the midfielder has continued his excellent run of form, making 23 appearances in the Superlig the last term.
He scored four goals and provided three assists, helping the Aslanlar secure yet another Superlig title. Ndiaye’s midfield combination with the likes of Younes Belhanda and Fernando, in particular, played a crucial role in retaining Galatasaray’s dominance in the Turkish top flight.
What can Ndiaye bring to the table?
Ndiaye is advertised as a box to box midfielder. He is known for his willingness to win back possession for his side and offering protection to the backline. The 28-year-old notably completed 2.6 tackles per game last season with an impressive success rate of 65%.
The Senegalese international is also a good passer of the ball, having attained a pass completion rate of 87%. He can distribute possession all around the pitch and is capable of making driving runs into the final third as well as taking on defenders in the final third.
Should Everton make a move for Ndiaye?
Ndiaye could be an exciting signing for Everton amid reports linking Idrissa Gueye to a move away from Goodison Park this summer. He can thus be considered as a potential replacement for his compatriot, who is a vital cog in the Everton midfield.
