According to a recent report by the Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti (via the Metro), Manchester United have tabled a £35m bid to secure the signature of Dinamo Zagreb attacking midfielder Dani Olmo during this ongoing transfer window. However, the same source has also claimed that the Red Devils will face stiff competition from Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in pursuit of the Spanish youngster in this off-season.
Dani Olmo’s Recent Emergence In European Football
The 21-year-old came through Barcelona’s youth academy before making a switch to Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2014. Since moving to Croatia, Olmo has gradually worked his way up the club’s youth ranks to break out as a first-team member back in 2015.
The Spaniard had a fabulous season with Dinamo when he put in a string of eye-catching performances for his side in the previous campaign. The Terrassa born talent featured in 44 matches for the Croatian giants in the last term, scoring 12 goals while grabbing nine assists across all competitions.
Olmo is highly versatile as he can operate in multiple positions across the frontline. He primarily plays in the number 10 position but can be equally effective when asked to feature on either flank. The Dinamo wonderkid is currently an integral member of the Spanish Under-21 side, having made ten appearances for them while scoring three goals in the process.

He is very quick with the ball at his feet and can make dangerous runs from midfield. The addition of a player of Olmo’s incredible potential will be a massive coup for the Red Devils if they manage to lure him to Old Trafford this summer. He will not only improve Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad depth but will also be an acquisition with the future in mind. At 21, he is already ready to feature at the highest level on a regular basis.
