Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams has snubbed a move to Liverpool. The 22 year old has insisted that he will remain at Bilbao.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is an avid admirer of the player and is very keen to entice him to Anfield. The forward signed a new four year deal with the club earlier. He came through the ranks of Bilbao academy and has scored 17 goals for them so far. The forward also made his debut for Spain earlier this year.
The player has a £44.5m price tag but has refused a move to the English side. “I’m happy at Athletic, it’s where I want to be.
“I am very grateful to the fans, the club and my team-mates. I want to continue here for many more years. I want to be Athletic’s future number nine – the player who raises the roof at San Mames every week and scores lot of goals,” he added.
