According to a recent report by the Sun, Arsenal are willing to pay £40m for the services of Crystal Palace wide man Wilfried Zaha during the summer transfer period. However, the same source has also mentioned that the Eagles will only do business if they receive double the amount of what the Gunners are ready to offer for the Ivory Coast international.
Zaha’s Productive Campaign At Selhurst Park
The former Manchester United speedster has enjoyed another outstanding season after putting in a string of match-winning performances at Selhurst Park during this campaign. He has been in a rich vein of form for the Eagles which has helped them stay out relegation trouble in the recently concluded Premier League season.
The 26-year-old has made 36 appearances for Roy Hodgson’s side this term, registering ten goals while providing ten assists across all competitions. The Palace talisman has also represented Ivory Coast in nine international matches while scoring two goals for them so far.
What Will Zaha Bring To The Emirates Stadium?
Zaha can run with the ball at high speed and is a very potent threat inside the opposition penalty box. He comes alive in 1v1 situations when he is left isolated against his marker. However, the Abidjan born talent has often been guilty of not adding more goals and assists to his game, so Zaha needs to rectify that side of his game if he wants to be successful in England.

The Eagles sensation would be an excellent fit at the Emirates Stadium as he will add some much-needed natural width to Unai Emery’s frontline.
Arsenal have often lacked depth in their squad to compete on all fronts and so Zaha’s addition could go a long way in addressing that issue. He can also help Emery bring back some silverware to North London in the coming years.
