West Ham United will make a short trip to North London to take on Tottenham Hotspur at the new White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon looking to get back to winning ways after picking up just one point from their past four league matches. However, Spurs are flying high at the moment so it will take a monumental effort from the East Londoners to take them down away from home.
Manuel Pellegrini will opt for a 4-1-4-1 formation and might let Marko Arnautovic lead the line for the visitors up top.
4-1-4-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will lineup as Pellegrini’s first-choice keeper on Saturday afternoon despite conceding 13 goals in his past six league starts. The Polish shot-stopper will be supported by the centre-back pair of Fabian Balbuena and Angelo Ogbonna. Issa Diop should be available on the bench and might come on during the encounter if needed.
The experienced Pablo Zabaleta should get another start at right-back while Arthur Masuaku would hope to make the most out of his pace and power on the other side as the left-back. Even though a trip to the new White Hart Lane might seem a bit daunting for them, the Hammers have enough quality in their squad to come away with a result from North London.
Midfield
Declan Rice will operate as a defensive midfielder while the hardworking duo of Mark Noble and Pedro Obiang would operate just ahead of him looking to gain control in midfield. Felipe Anderson will be unleashed on the left wing as he tries to cut in and cause a lot of headaches for the Tottenham defenders.
Robert Snodgrass might get the nod to start on the right flank so he will be responsible for stretching the pitch out on the wide areas. Both Samir Nasri and Manuel Lanzini are unlikely to feature in this game as they are still nursing themselves back from their recent injuries.
Attack
Javier Hernandez is a significant doubt for this clash against Spurs so Marko Arnautovic could get another chance to shine as a centre-forward. The Austrian talent was one of the most prolific strikers in the Premier League last season. Hence, this match could be his golden chance to reignite his career at the East London club.
