Chelsea will entertain West Ham United at Stamford Bridge looking to build on their 3-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend. The Pensioners are a team in form at the moment and so they would fancy their chances of securing a positive result against the Hammers on Monday night.
Maurizio Sarri will opt to play with a 4-3-3 formation and might give Ruben Loftus-Cheek another chances to shine as part of his starting XI.
4-3-3 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face West Ham United
Defence
Kepa Arrizabalaga will operate in between the sticks for the Pensioners after keeping a comfortable clean sheet against Brighton at the weekend. The defensive pair of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger will protect the Spanish keeper as they look to put in another commanding shift at the heart of Chelsea’s backline. Cesar Azpilicueta, who got his name on the scoresheet against Cardiff City last week, would play in the right-back position while Emerson Palmieri would try to put in a solid shift down the left flank.
Sarri’s defenders need to build on their performance against the Seagulls and look to keep another shut-out in front of their home supporters.
Midfield
The midfield three of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho and N’Golo Kante might lineup together as they look to establish the home side’s dominance at the middle of the park. Loftus-Cheek found the back of the net versus the Seagulls which should give him a lot of confidence heading into this clash.
When Jorginho plays well, Chelsea often tends to win and so he has to find a way to get his passes going early on, especially if the West Ham midfielders decide to mark him closely on Monday night.
Attack
Eden Hazard and Willian will look operate on the wings to create chances or score goals themselves in the final third. Olivier Giroud could get the nod ahead of Gonzalo Higuain to start up top. The French centre-forward has done well while spearheading Chelsea’s attack in recent games and so he will look to get a goal again at Stamford Bridge.
Higuain will be available on the bench and might come on during the London derby if required.
