Timothy Weah was considered as a massive coup for Celtic in January as the 18-year-old had already started making appearances for Paris Saint Germain’s senior team. The striker cum winger has already scored six goals for Celtic, even though he started just his first game under Neil Lennon against St. Mirren in the midweek clash.
The American international is currently only on loan until the end of the season, but Weah recently gave a clear indication that he could look to extend his stay at Celtic Park. One can understand why the youngster wants to stay in Glasgow as he has better chances to play regular football. With the French heavyweights, Weah is likely to struggle for game time.

I am really happy and just blessed to get the opportunities I’ve got so far.”
Why Lennon should definitely look to pull of another loan spell?
Weah has been slightly overlooked since Lennon took over at the club, but it is clear that the youngster isn’t complaining. Maybe he knows that at PSG he won’t even get the time on the pitch that he is currently getting at Celtic.
Celtic might end up losing quite a few players in the upcoming summer. Lennon should definitely keep an eye on the deals which he can complete. Scott Sinclair is in the final few months of his contract, and it is yet not clear whether the Hoops will hand him a new deal. Signing Oliver Burke might cost Celtic a lot of money. On the other hand, Weah can again be signed on loan and the way he has settled in at the club; he can be a crucial player for the Bhoys in the upcoming season.
The American international’s pace and finishing skills look up to the mark. There is no doubt that with more time, the youngster will improve further. The forward seems to be loving life in Scotland and Celtic should definitely look to snap him up on another loan spell.
