Celtic’s impressive run in the derby was halted by Steven Gerrard’s Rangers last time around in December. The gap in the table currently shows that the Bears have a lot to catch up on as the Hoops are 10 points clear. However, the points table and everything else goes out of the window when these two Glaswegian giants meet as whatever is the situation both teams want to get the better of one another.
Here are some of the reactions of the Bhoys’ fans going into the Sunday’s derby.
Tavernier talked about silencing the Celtic fans. Here is how one of the Hoops fans reacted.
Look at the bags under his eyes and general demeanour throughout the interview… Something keeping him awake at night? Doesn't look very confident either

Here is how some Celtic fans reacted when Gerrard tried to play down Celtic’s atmosphere when a journalist compared it to Lion’s den.

Apparently, Gerrard had squared up against Celtic previously as a player and this is what he had to say. Those comments definitely came back to bite him now after his recent comments.
Interesting as that’s not what he said before….https://t.co/k5NApXDHzM

This fan for sure believes Scott Brown would be able to turn it around after he was run ragged in the last derby.
Mental how Scott Brown would batter every single Rangers player.

Rangers fans seemed happy with Barisic’s injury as Halliday would get a chance to start. Well, even Celtic fans are confident of coming up against Halliday down the left. Something will have to give in the end. Halliday not being a natural defender means that he could have a tough time against Forrest or Burke on the right.

Gerrard and Lennon have previously squared off against each other in the 2002-03 UEFA Cup quarterfinals. Lennon ended up on the winning side as Celtic won 3-1 on aggregate to progress to the semi-finals.

This Celtic fan is not entirely convinced about Celtic’s chances.
I hate to say this, but I keep seeing people who are convinced we are going to destroy them on Sunday, where are we getting this confidence from? Since Rogers left we have had 45 mins of fast open attacking football. The rest has been slow and predictable.

Some fans want to see Tom Rogic in action who has returned to training after a long term injury lay off. Looks unlikely that Lennon would throw him in this game all of a sudden.

Most of the Celtic fans would be worrying about the duel between Kent and Lustig. It was Kent who assisted the winner at Ibrox by getting the better of the experienced Swedish defender. Can’t put it beyond him to do something like that again.
Playing Lustig against Kent is absolute suicide

Some fans feel that they might miss Rodgers’ calmness in the derbies. Lennon is a kind of man who wears his heart on his sleeve and he can let his emotions get the better of him on occasions. On the other hand, Rodgers had a much more balanced demeanour whether the Hoops were winning or losing.
BR's disloyalty well documented but his calmness in Glasgow derbies was valuable. If Madden does what Madden does I wouldn't be surprised to see Lennon in the stand early doors
