Liverpool will travel to London to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday on the back of a famous 3-1 win over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League in midweek. The Reds are now through to the quarter-finals of Europe’s biggest competition and is set to take on a Fulham side that is struggling to get favourable results in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp will likely opt for a 4-3-3 formation and might bring Adam Lallana back into his starting XI for this weekend.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Fulham
Defence
Alisson Becker will feature in goal for the Merseyside giants looking to keep another clean sheet at the back. The centre-half duo of Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip will continue to operate at the heart of the Liverpool backline.
Trent-Alexander Arnold needs to put in a much-improved shift at right-back on Sunday after a couple of mediocre displays for the Reds this month. Andrew Robertson will operate on the other side as the left-back as he tries to link up play with the likes of Mane, Lallana and Firmino going forward.
The Reds defence has a stellar defensive record this season and has managed to pick up a lot of clean sheets so far. So they will fancy their chances of securing a shut-out against a Fulham side that has scored just 28 goals in 30 league matches this term.
Midfield
The trio of Fabinho, Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum could be deployed at the middle of the park as they look to dictate play and establish the Merseyside outfit’s dominance in midfield. James Milner was heavily involved against Bayern Munich in midweek, and so Klopp might want to manage his game time by benching him in this encounter.
Both Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson are significant doubts for this clash.
Attack
Liverpool’s fabulous front three picks themselves. The trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah will once again lead the Reds attack up front. Mane has enjoyed a rich vein of form of late after scoring a brace against Bayern in midweek. The Senegalese will be licking his lips while up against a Fulham side that has conceded a league-high 68 goals in 30 matches so far.
It would also be a good chance for Salah to end his goal-scoring misery by finding the back of the net against the Cottagers this weekend.
