Newcastle United kept their winning run intact with a victory over Burnley in their last match in the Premier League. The win takes them to the 13th spot in the league table, and they will surely look to continue the same way when they take on West Ham United in their next encounter.
The Hammers, on the other hand, dished out a gritty performance against the reigning Premier League champions Manchester City but could not escape defeat. However, they will look to get back to winning ways when they lock horns with the Magpies in their own backyard.
Team News
Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has a fully fit squad at his disposal ahead of the next match. Only long term absentees Ciaran Clark and Karl Darlow are set to miss the game.
Goalkeeper
Martin Dubravka has been in top-notch form in recent times and dished out brilliant performances in the goal against Cardiff City and Burnley in back to back matches. He is a guaranteed starter against West Ham in the next game.
Defence
The defensive trio of Jamaal Lascelles, Fabian Schar and Florian Lejeune have kept their composure high against the opposition in the last few outings and would look to do the same in the next match as well as they start in the heart of the defence for the Magpies.
DeAndre Yedlin is expected to start in the right-back role once again. Matt Ritchie has done outstandingly well playing out of position as the left back and would once again start in the same place against the Hammers.
Midfield
Young midfielder Sean Longstaff had a decent outing against the Clarets and scored his first Premier League goal to lead his side to an important win. He would keep his place in the heart of the pitch for the next match as well. He would be accompanied by the experienced ace Issac Hayden.
The new fan favourite Miguel Almiron would start in the left-hand side of the pitch along with Ayoze Perez, who seems to have found his long lost form playing on the right side of the midfield.
Attack
Salomon Rondon had a somewhat subdued outing in the last match against Burnley and would look to get his goalscoring form back in the game against the Hammers. He would lead the line for the Magpies once again.
Predicted Formation: 5-4-1
