Neil Lennon would be delighted that he is back at Celtic. However, when he would have looked at his first two fixtures, he would have hoped for a much easier run in. Celtic have already negated a tough game against Hearts as they snatched a late winner. However, the upcoming Scottish Cup fixture is set to be much more feisty as Lennon is set to return to Easter Road to take on Hibernian FC; a club he left a few weeks ago under vague circumstances.
We can expect a lot of drama in front of a hostile crowd, and that is what makes these Cup fixtures special. Celtic should have enough points in the bank to win the Premiership, but the Bhoys fans should be worried regarding their chance in the Scottish Cup after Rodgers moved to Leicester. With injuries to some key Celtic players, Hibs would look to cause an upset.
Team News
Callum McGregor is going to be a major miss in midfield due to his calf strain. Olivier Ntcham, Tom Rogic, Filip Benkovic and Ryan Christie are also going to miss out. Daniel Arzani and Eboue Kouassi are long term absentees.
Celtic Predicted Lineup Vs Hibernian FC
Formation (4-2-3-1)
Defence
Scott Bain has emerged as the no. 1 in goal ever since the turn of the year, and he is set to continue in between the sticks. Jozo Simunovic could be back in the lineup ahead of Kristoffer Ajer who looked shaky at best in the midweek clash. Dedryck Boyata is going to be his likely partner in the heart of the defence.
Jeremy Toljan is the preferred right back since his arrival from Dortmund. Kieran Tierney completed his first 90 minutes after a return from a hip issue in the midweek game. He is set to start in the left-back role.
Midfield
With little to no room to manoeuvre in midfield, Lennon will have to go in with Nir Bitton and Scott Brown in the central areas. Ewan Henderson is likely to occupy the attacking midfield role after he did more than a decent job in the midweek game. Out wide on the right, James Forrest is a nailed on starter. The left flank is likely to be occupied by Scott Sinclair.
Attack
Odsonne Edouard created a positive impact after coming on in the last game, and we believe Lennon might hand him a starting role in this clash ahead of Oliver Burke.
