Leeds United’s stuttering run continued as they failed to go past QPR at Loftus Road. This was supposed to be United’s game in hand over their other rivals, but they were not able to make the most of it and were beaten narrowly on the night via Luke Freeman’s goal.
As expected, The Whites dominated the possession, but they failed to make it count in the final third. Even with less possession, QPR managed to have more shots on target and a performance like this should worry Bielsa and the fans.

Made some crucial decisions in goal as he fisted some dangerous crosses. Looked confident for the most parts but couldn’t prevent Luke Freeman’s smart flick.
Ezgjan Alioski 5
Pawel Wszolek had his number throughout the game, and the Macedonian found it tough to cope with his man. Couldn’t provide much while going forward as well.
Liam Cooper 6
Suffered a face injury but carried on. Had an okayish game in defence as he made some smart interceptions but was also found wanting on occasions.
Pontus Jansson 5.5
Defensively he was alright but was extremely wasteful with the ball at his feet.
Luke Ayling 4.5
Tried hard on the attacking front but failed to link up play. Was found out of position defensively on a few occasions. Strayed a few passes.
Kalvin Phillips 5.5
Had a poor start to the game as the home side pressured him early on. Improved as the game went by but that wasn’t enough for the Whites in the end.
Mateusz Klich 5
Wasted quite a few balls from midfield as he tried to open up QPR’s defence. An off night for the Polish international.
Tyler Roberts 5.5
Did quite a few things right but often failed to provide finishing touches to his move. His movement was sharp but needed a bit more composure while picking the final pass.
Pablo Hernandez 6
Looked threatening in certain situations but in the end, didn’t have that telling moment in the final third. Needs to improve on the defensive front.
Jack Harrison 5
Tried his best but at the end like most of his team-mates could not muster up any end product.
Patrick Bamford 4.5
Failed to put away two worthy chances. Couldn’t influence the game much for the most parts and it was a disappointing performance from the Englishman.

Missed a decent chance after coming on. Tried to make things happen but it wasn’t good enough.

Made a strong case for starting in the next game. Created a lot of positive moments after coming on. It was his shot which gave Bamford a chance to put the ball away on the rebound but the former Middlesbrough man missed his opportunity.
