West Ham United were held to a 1-1 draw at home in their last match against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. This has definitely not helped matters in their quest to finish the season in a comfortable position. The Hammers will look to take their chances and get all three points when they take on Fulham in their next league match.
The Cottagers, on the other hand, are having a disastrous season since regaining promotion and are currently stranded at the 19th spot in the league table with just four wins out of their 26 matches so far. They would be desperate for points in their efforts to stave off relegation and might dish out a resilient performance against the Hammers.
Team News
West Ham United have a number of injury concerns in their squad ahead of this crucial encounter. Apart from the usual casualties like Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere, Manuel Lanzini and Carlos Sanchez; the likes of Winston Reid and Fabian Balbuena have also been sidelined for quite some time now. Samir Nasri is also in doubt to start in the next match and will be assessed before the game.
Goalkeeper
Lukasz Fabianski has been in inspirational form this season and would look to make it as difficult as possible for the Fulham strikers to get anything past him as he starts in the goal for the Hammers.
Defence
With Balbuena still unavailable, Angelo Ogbonna is set to pair up with Issa Diop in the backline for the east London side. They will be accompanied by Pablo Zabaleta, who would start at the right side of defence and Aaron Cresswell, who is set to start as the left back.
Midfield
Declan Rice would be one to start in his familiar defensive midfielder role and would look to keep the opposition players away from the ball with his physical display.
The duo of Mark Noble and Pedro Obiang would start in the middle of the pitch, with Nasri a doubt to start the match. Felipe Anderson would start on the left-hand side of the midfield while Robert Snodgrass would put in a shift from the right.
Attack
Marko Arnautovic is expected to lead the line for the Hammers. The Austrian ace has returned to the side in the match against Crystal Palace in the last match after enduring a minor foot injury. He would look to end his goal drought of the previous five games.
Predicted Formation: 4-1-4-1
