4-3-3 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Chelsea
Defence
David De Gea will keep his spot in goal for the Red Devils despite shipping in two goals against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek. He can expect a tough outing while up against one of the most productive strikers in European football in Gonzalo Higuain.
The centre-half pair of Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof could feature at the heart of Solskjær’s backline. Marcos Rojo will be unavailable due to injury, but both Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling should be part of the Man United bench on Monday night.
Ashley Young will resume his role as the right-back once again while Luke Shaw looks to use his pace on the other side in order to create some opportunities going forward. It will be a difficult match for the Red Devils defenders as they will face off against a dangerous Chelsea front three consisting of Eden Hazard, Gonzalo Higuain and Willian.
Midfield
Solskjær is expected to stick with his strongest midfield three of Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic. The talented trio has worked well together in recent weeks and knows how to be productive in the middle of the park.
Pogba is currently enjoying the form of his life after he scored a bunch of times for United over the past few weeks so we can expect him to play a pivotal role in the opposition half.
Attack
The Man United frontline will see the likes Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata operate as the wingers while Romelu Lukaku gets a chance to impress up front in Solskjær’s starting XI. Rashford couldn’t manage to find the back of the net against PSG in midweek so he will be desperate to return to his goal-scoring ways when he laces up to take on the Pensioners defenders on Monday.
Both Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial are spending time on the treatment table so they won’t feature against Chelsea. However, Alexis Sanchez will be available on the bench and might come on during the clash if required.
