Liverpool played hosts to Bournemouth at Anfield earlier this afternoon looking to reclaim their place at the top of the Premier League standings. The Reds began the match on the front foot and took the lead in the 24th minute courtesy of Sadio Mane’s header. Georginio Wijnaldum scored the decisive second goal of the game just 10 minutes later when he chipped Arthur Boruc to score with a classy finish.
The second half was more of the same with the home team dominating possession of the ball. Mohamed Salah found the back of the net in the 48th minute which killed off the contest. The Cherries defended valiantly to restrict Liverpool from scoring another goal. The match finished with a scoreline of 3-0 in favour of Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The Guinean midfielder is slowly showing signs of promise in a Liverpool shirt. He played some defence-spilling passes which were exactly what the Anfield doctor ordered from him today.
RM: Mohamed Salah – 7/10
The Egyptian squandered many good opportunities during the match, but he managed to find the back of the net in the second half which was enough to make the points secure for the home team.
ST: Roberto Firmino – 8/10
The Brazilian forward was outstanding in the second half as some of his interchanges with Salah and Mane was pleasing on the eye.
LM: Sadio Mane – 7.5/10
The Senegalese international is a player in form and continued to dazzle for Liverpool today. He opened the goal-scoring with a powerful header which gave the Reds an ideal platform to go on and get the win.
