Celtic are on a perfect run after the winter break, and they would look to continue their juggernaut when they take on Hibernian FC in a midweek encounter at Celtic Park. The Hoops had to work hard to go past St. Johnstone twice, but that shows that the team is ready for the fight as we move closer to the crunch part of the season.
The new signings have already started contributing for Rodgers as the likes of Timothy Weah and Oliver Burke have scored goals and Jeremy Toljan impressed in his cameo against St. Johnstone last time around.
Team News: One of the things that hasn’t gone in Celtic’s favour is their ongoing injury crisis. Mikael Lustig was subbed off early in the last game and it is now known that it was because of an injury issue. James Forrest also pulled his hamstring and is a significant doubt for the next match. Most importantly, Celtic’s record signing Odsonne Edouard also went off with an injury after he came on as a late substitute.
The likes of Filip Benkovic, Dedryck Boyata, Kieran Tierney, Tom Rogic and Olivier Ntcham were already on the treatment table. To add insult to injury, Kristoffer Ajer is suspended for this tie as he was given the marching orders against St. Johnstone. Eboue Kouassi and Daniel Arzani remain long term absentees.

Celtic’s Predicted Lineup Vs Hibernian FC
Formation (4-2-3-1)
Defence
Scott Bain has been the trusted man in goal and we expect him to continue in that role. Jack Hendry, who was linked (Daily Mail) with a loan move as he wasn’t getting any playing chances, would have the opportunity to showcase his worth as he is the only defender available along with Jozo Simunovic.
Jeremy Toljan did a fine job after coming on and he should get his full debut against the Hibs. Emilio Izaguirre is expected to fill in for Tierney down the left.
Midfield
With not much space to manoeuvre, Scott Brown is set to continue in the middle of the park. He is likely to be partnered by Callum McGregor who is one the underrated stars of this Celtic team.
Ryan Christie should occupy the no. 10 role. Even if Forrest recovers on time, we don’t expect Rodgers to thrust him in this game with a tough Europa League tie looming. Therefore, Oliver Burke might start on the right flank for the first time. Scott Sinclair should keep his place on the left.
Attack
The man who rescued all the points for Celtic, Timothy Weah is expected to lead the line after his impressive cameos in recent weeks.
