Tottenham Hotspur clinched a dramatic victory in their clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage as Harry Winks scored the winner for his side in the last minute of the stoppage time. The Cottagers had a terrific first half and got the first goal of the match via an own goal from Fernando Llorente. However, Spurs came back well in the second half as their relentless pressure resulted in a goal by Dele Alli before Harry Winks headed home from close range to break the hearts of the Fulham fans in their own backyard.
Here is how the Tottenham Hotspur players were rated from their dramatic win against Fulham.
Hugo Lloris: 6
Could not do anything to prevent the own goal. Made a few good saves throughout the match.
Toby Alderweireld: 6
Looked under pressure from the Fulham attackers in the first half. Did well to keep his side out of harm’s way on most occasions though.
Jan Vertonghen: 7
Held the backline with his strong presence throughout the match.
Davinson Sanchez: 6
Lacked a bit of composure in the first half but came back well in the second one.
Kieren Trippier: 7
Delivered a number of good balls into the danger zone. Did well to defend the incoming crosses.
Christian Eriksen: 6
Mispassed the ball on a few occasions but was the provider for the ball that helped Alli bring Spurs back in the contest.
Harry Winks: 8
Toiled hard in the middle of the pitch to snatch the ball away from the Fulham players and initiate attacks throughout the match. Was present at the right place at the right time to notch up the winner for his side with a header.
Danny Rose: 6
Tried his best to get the ball up the pitch but lacked the accuracy.
Dele Alli: 7
Pressurised the Fulham defenders with his classy footwork and shot making and finally got his reward in the 51st minute to get his side back into the contest. Was substituted after he picked up a suspected hamstring injury.
Eric Lamela: 6
A lacklustre performance in the first half followed by a sturdy one in the second half from the Argentine.
Fernando Llorente: 5
Nowhere to be seen in the danger area as he could not put any pressure on the opposition defenders with his presence in the box. Put his side in disarray by getting the ball into the net on the wrong end of the pitch.
Substitutes
Eric Dier: 5
Nothing special from the Englishman in his short stint on the pitch.
Georges-Kevin Nkoudou: 7
Delivered a brilliant ball into the Fulham box to find Winks with literally the last kick of the match.
