Porto midfielder Ruben Neves has garnered a lot of interest from a host of clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea with Juventus also reportedly targeting the teenage midfielder.
The 19 year old Portuguese midfielder has a release clause of £36m and is represented by Jorge Mendes. Antonio Conte has been in the search for a central midfielder for a long time. Although he bought N’Golo Kante from Leicester City this season, but needs to buy another player in the same position as both Matic and Fabregas have so far failed to give the necessary support to the midfield. Chelsea have made contact with the player and want an answer within the first week of November. They are willing to offer £24m plus a player with add-ons.
Klopp wants to add a midfielder to his squad as Emre Can had been sidelined with an injury for a long time and has just returned. Neves is basically a more of a holding player who shields the four man defence and can surge forward if needed, a position which Liverpool are in desperate need of.
Juventus has been linked with a couple of midfielder earlier as they haven’t found a suitable replacement for Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal. Juventus is also keeping tabs on the player and have to battle with Liverpool and Chelsea if they want to entice the player to Italy.
