It is that time of the year when the fans are excited about the various things that change at their favorite club. New players are bought into the team in the transfer window and the team’s new kits are revealed to the public ahead of the new season. Championship outfit Leeds United have recently revealed their kit for the 2016-17 season of the Football League Championship and it has taken the fans by amaze.
In an exclusive event for the season ticket holders at the Centenary Pavillion at Elland Road, Leeds United revealed a traditional all white design with the logo of the designed Kappa in a blue frame. The sponsor 32Red is also seen in blue across the face of the jersey. According to the club’s website (via Skysports), the fabric – a mix of polyester and spandex – has been treated to provide a dry fit, “designed to bring elasticity and comfort to a light shirt.”
It was released with a tagline ‘The shirt is more than just a colored piece of fabric, more than just a design and more than a ‘look’ and was an instant hit with the fans of the club. It has a plain white look to it but is still attractive with blue the only color on the shit used to denote the Kappa logo and the sponsors of the club. The only other color that is visible on the shirt is yellow in the crest of the club’s logo which brings, even more, beauty to the jersey.
Winger Stuart Dallas modeled the kit during the unveiling which attracted a large audience at the Elland Road. The Goalkeeper kit is in all green, a stark contrast to the outfield players (as it is meant to be) with the logo and the sponsor’s name denoted in white.
The amount of response the unveiling got showed how important a club’s jersey is to its fans. It is a symbol of their love to the club and is an emblem that links the fans to their club, its success and its failures. So it is no surprise to see the fans excited for their new jersey. The whole kit has a classy look to it and was approved by them within hours of its release on social networking side Twitter. Here is a collection of some of the best tweets on Leeds United’s new home kit.

@LUFC @Kappa_UK rubbish collar, a normal round neck collar would have made it a lovely kit. What a shame
