Everton will look to get back to winning ways after their dismal performance in the last four matches, having drawn two while losing the other two. Marco Silva’s men would have a considerable challenge on their hands as they are set to face a charged-up Tottenham Hotspur, fresh from a win over their north London rivals Arsenal in the League Cup.
The Toffees got a decent start to their season and had gotten some good results in their first few matches. But in recent times, their form has been patchy as the dream to compete in the European stage seems to be fading away.
Team News
Marco Silva has a fully fit squad at his disposal, barring Idrissa Gana Gueye who would be assessed ahead of the next match.
Goalkeeper
Jordan Pickford did not have a good time in the last match against Manchester City as he conceded three goals. However, he would start in the goal for the Toffees against Spurs once again.
Defence
The duo of Yerry Mina and Michael Keane would start in the heart of the backline for the Merseyside club. Seamus Coleman would put in a shift from the right-hand side of the backline while Lucas Digne should start as the left back against Spurs.
Midfield
With Idrissa Gana Gueye in doubt to play the next match, Morgan Schneiderlin could finally get a start. He should pair up with Andre Gomes in the central midfield. Ahead of them, Gylfi Sigurdsson would start as the attacking midfielder while Richarlison and Bernard begin in the right and left-hand side of the midfield.
Attack
After his decent performance as the striker in the Manchester City match, Dominic Calvert-Lewin would be expected to get the nod ahead of Cenk Tosun to lead the line against Spurs. He would also look to continue his goalscoring form after he notched up the only goal for his side in the 3-1 loss against the Citizens.
Predicted Formation: 4-2-3-1
